Interest in FF XIV, A Realm Reborn?
 

I was curious to see if there was any interest in FFXIV? I'm thinking it may be a good game to try on the PS3.

I'll be playing on the PC. With Reborn, both PC and PS3 will be able to play together.

I'm going to definitely check it out, and see if it can hold my interest.

I was the last (TOG) standing in the original release.
The LS got pretty lonely and I finally just gave up.
I haven't log on to my toon (Bil Dream lvl 48 - tank ) in over a year.
FFXI was my favorite mmo and I have tried almost all of them.
I'm hoping for a strong re-release so I can enjoy FF once again.

I will definitely be there for V2.
I really hope there will be a TOG presence in the game.

Will most likely give it a try. Its looking like they have hopefully fixed some of the issues that was wrong with the original release. Will have to see what is changed etc, as there was some features in the first version I hope actually stay.

Not going near this after the mess they made of the first release. That game was a new low for mmo releases and kinda ruined any respect I had for that company.

I as in guild leadership for the last release of this game, and indeed it was a disaster and very disheartening.

I expect that I will be giving it another shot with "reborn".

Can anyone confirm that if you bought the original (Collector's Edition for me) do you have to rebuy the Reborn game?

I'm looking at this as a total redo, the original game was flawed in every way for me - the engine, server tech, combat, UI, etc., they were all rushed and poorly executed. I'm viewing this as a whole new game, I'm not going to rush to judgement; and only time will tell...........

Had this been EA this game would have been killed, I give them credit for absorbing a massive loss to get this game re-launched.

All current and former players who have purchased the original Final Fantasy XIV for Windows will get A Realm Reborn at no additional cost in the form of a new client download. Users will also be able to play their characters on both PC and PS3, but will need to purchase the PS3 version separately. A Chinese version of the Windows client will be made available in Mid-2013. This version will be run on separate servers to those of the other regions.
