Definitely interested in this game, have signed up for Beta so fingers crossed. Since Rift I have been somewhat disappointed in the recent MMORPG offerings.

The mega server idea is a good one if it works, and should suit an international group like us. Hopefully no drama or fragmentation caused by Oceanic servers being released months into the game.

Currently giving GW2 another shot but will be keeping one eye on the inbox in case I get the chance to Beta this beauty.

Apparently there will be two megaservers. One in N.A., and one in Europe.

I'm signing up for it right now and will get my husband to do it after work. I'd love to get in the beta if I can. I've been lucky with a few before so fingers crossed that my luck will hold. It's a bummer about the megaservers though. I really hoped it would just be one worldwide.

I think pretty much every game has to have separate EU servers, not 100% sure of the reason, read something about EU laws at one point, also read that it is due to the multitude of languages and currencies etc. Might be one or the other, or both, or neither. Someone else may have the correct answer with a source or something.

But I don't think it's optional like Aussie/Oceanic/SEA servers are. Sounds like we won't be getting servers but for this game it may not be an issue, we won't even need to pick an "unofficial" server so the only issue will hopefully be the faction one.

Not sure how relevant this is, I'm no facebook expert, but I checked out the facebook page for this game and it already has 878k likes.

For a bit of perspective, some other MMO "like" counts that I quickly checked. Not 100% verified for accuracy.

Make of it what you will, but it appears that this game is gathering some huge interest. TESO would sit in 3rd spot on that list, in front of Guild Wars 2.

Not bad for a game that hasn't even started Beta yet.

TES has a massive following though. I can't remember how many units Skyrim sold (did I read it previously in this thread?), but it's very, very high.
Unlike other large MMO's coming from known franchises, TES is only a video game (SWTOR, STO, LotRO all movies, Rift, TSW and EvE new), with GW2 being the only other exception.

I stumbled into their beta signup by accidental-surfing last night, signed up as me with TOG guild & our URL.

I love Skyrim, enjoyed its predecessors, and am very hopeful for this game. Glad to hear we are finally getting an Elder Scrolls MMO.

I'm seriously considering a heavily-armored orc bowman with some melee weapon skills.
