It's going to take a while for development but if thousands of people are willing to risk/throw money at him i hope the game is a success.

Without these kinds of funding a lot of indie games probably wouldn't be on the market.

Big Wing Commander fan from way back so threw in all up over $250 for this game...which is rare for me with such games...usually opt for the basic one needed to get the product out...or a lil more if one of the fluff items is something i like .....could say im looking forward to it :-p

With threads about this game in all 3 public forums FPS, MMO and SIM it seems like lots of toggers will be keen to give it a go. The more attention it gets in the forums the better the chances are of getting a subforum for it i would imagine

I never played wing commander but I have very fond memories of the X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter series along with the two freespace games.

I also chipped in the kickstarter and would welcome a sub-forum to get ourselves organized in the coming year.
