Been in a bit of a gaming lull lately, since I'm getting bored of GW2 and Defiance is really starting to stagnate. However, I am finding myself more in Firefall each day I play.
The game is a Sandbox, event driven world. No linear theme park are level progression, just go out into the world and survive. Crafting is a little tricky, but with the games durability system, crafting is crucial to upgrading and replacing worn equipment. So for all you crafting nuts out there, this game does make your time at the molecular printer (i.e. Crafting Station) well worth it.
Currently F2P, with cosmetic cash shop, so you don't need to spend a cent if you don't want to. I've only put in some cash up front to get to the founders "lieutenant" level, but after that I've been running the dailies, which gives you a "Red Bean" (Game IRL cash currency), so you can earn your way to the items if you want, if you so desire.
