LOL, I like the idea! Make it to the type of punishment that might befall upon the storyline of the game...
Put players in jail for 7 days. Now that would be funny... Public cubes where you can log in but are stuck doing nothing but walking around a cage. Tag on a little XP loss, and it might actually help. So many MMO's just ban your account right off the bat... Do not pass go, do not count to 7, and go directly to the Gamestore and start over.

Hi All,
Pardon the pun, but "Jesus"!  I like the notion of public disdain for committing a major no-no in-game. Perhaps also place that guy in the collusseum as a slave galditator facing fierce mob npc's. Where it's made into a public event, lol. Or even being placed into a slave labor chain-gang to work off the punishment.

I wonder how long it takes to go from 'Level 1' (new character) to Ganking killing spree? Less than 7 days? Since you don't have to pay to play, it makes me think the gankers will be dime a dozen. Get caught? Make a new charater, or if necessary, just file for a new account.
It's good PR though, a little bit of extra press never hurt anyone.

One copy, one account. Unless there is some oddball financial model, at least. Roma Victor is a no-monthly-fee model I believe (al a Guild Wars), making it a bit expensive for the first few months to keep buying accounts.

I was reading on one of the (beta) guild sites that it has become quite common for people to have multiple beta accounts, which has caused some political grief. Hence, in the case of this one guild I was looking at, a much, much stricter application process.
Interesting... especially in a game that is so guild-focused (anti-solo).
