you can play for free with the basic release game, means without notum war and alien invasion.

Did they finally make the base game free? Last I had seen it was still only free for 7 days.

The main thing I didn't like about AO was the grind and the lack of quests, but the game was fun for a while...

I started playing AO when it was the base game, got notem wars and then the shadow lands. I got alien invasion but stopped playing about a week after it arrived and I never installed it.

I played on the Atlantean server and when I quit I had a level 203 Doctor on the clan side. I had the game on my old computer and when I moved my computer broke and had to get a new one. Where I live the only isp available is diel up or satalite dish. The Funcom Bit Torrent sees my set-up as diel up and it took 39 hours to download the game with all the updates, then on the last 1% it said corrupted file and stopped So I took the game and all the expandisons and loaded them into my machine and then tried to do the patch. After 7 days of patching I gave up

I play Eve Online now to get my sci-fi fix.

as TOG has no guild on Rimor (or atlantean), I belong to a neutral org called Bloodrising there. I have a few accounts, among those toons I still log on now and then is RoxPortents, lvl 90+ fixer.
