Saga of Ryzom Free Unlimited Trial

Saga of Ryzom now has a free unlimited trial. You basically can stay on the new newbie island for completely free for as long as you want. Which can be 20 levels or so. They have a new tutorial and other things. I have been reading lots of reviews and I am going to try this out. What have I got to lose?

Basically all the reviews say it is a dynamic, graphically rich, immersive environment that EVERY ex-SWG player should play. It has PVP, dynamic weather, skill system where you can choose what you want and has a HUGE choice of skills. It also has a really interesting and dynamic crafting system.

All in all, I think you should give it a try. If you are like me, playing some old MMO's (EQ2 and Lineage2), waiting for Vanguard and lamenting the destruction of SWG. They are also in the process of adding player created content (Ryzom Ring) which should be interesting.

Tried it out before when they had a 7-day trial. I liked the environment, but a bit short on people and a bit on the terse side describing some mechanics, as I recall.
The 7 day trial was not enough time (not for me at least) to try out the various classes, races etc. Unlimited time sounds better, might pick that up again and see what it looks like now.

I was a beta tester for Saga of Ryzom, didn't find it very appealing and quit after a couple of months. I assume that its changed a great deal since then though....

Damn it I was thinking of Risk Your Life or whatever it's called. I never really got into Ryzom so I didn't play it much. Sorry.

Hi All,

I had tried out "Saga of Ryzom" back in March-April of this year. It was very under populated, the newbie isle was more fun than the rest of the game. Since there seemed to be more players in closer proximity than the large expanse of the zoned game world.

Wanted to check it out, but $$$ and time kept me from it.... then like most games, it's pushed to the back when new ones come out.
