How many MMO's at once?

Ok I'm in a dilemma. I'm trying to play three MMO's currently and it's not easy I've got my WoW account, my DAoC account, and my freebie AO account. I love all of these games and have played them for several years, but it's very hard to find the time to play even one of them anymore.

How many games do you try to juggle at the same time? I also activate CoH once in awhile when I'm in the mood, but it's hibernating right now Usually DAoC or WoW gets turned off when CoH comes on... Oh, and I also have GW+Factions - oy!

Do you play certain games on certain days, or just mix it up. I played WoW and DAoC quite a bit last night - leveling a mid-range character in each.

To compound the problem, I'm also an alt-o-holic, so all of my character slots are taken in those games - at least on the servers that I play on... AND of course I have to play multiple servers so I can play each of the kingdoms/realms for each of those games (Alliance, Horde, Mids, Albs, Hibs, etc).

Anybody else got this "problem?"

I feel you. In the beginning, I was playing FFXI & SWG together. I found myself playing FFXI more, so I cancelled my SWG account (this was before I found TOG). Then I started Lineage 2, and played it along side FFXI. Then after Guild Wars came out, I was playing all 3, though I found myself playing Lineage 2 the most. I tried to play a different one each night, then dedicate the whole weekend to one game. Now, I just play Guild Wars, but will be re-activating my L2 account soon. I have the time to play both, I think.

The tough thing with playing multiple MMOs is the cost and the obligation that you may feel. When I was playing FFXI and L2 at the same time, I felt this obligation that I had to play each one a certain amount of hours to "get my money's worth". With Guild Wars, I never feel that obligation because there is no monthly fee. So, if I neglect it some, I don't feel like I'm ripping myself off.

When I do play MMOs I only play one at a time and only one char. I can't imagine having the time to play more then one char or MMO.

Right now I'm not playing any MMOs, I play a bit of CoD:UO every night and I picked up Icewind Dale 2 at Big Lots for 4 bucks so I play that as well.

I find it difficult to play somewhat equal shares when I have multiple MMOs active, so I have just given up on that. I just let the mood decide from day to day - a lot of the time that ends up one game getting a big chunk of that time, for a few months perhaps.

I am definitely an altoholic, so I also play a lot of toons in each game, at least in the beginning. After a while it usually reduced to 2-3 toons that I play regularly. I have stopped worrying about that part also, that's just how I play.

I don't think so much about the subscriptions fees usually - most likely I am not particularly effective in "fun per monetary unit" at times, but it is a well defined amount at least and has not been to high for me yet.

Ditto for myself, i see we have something in common. (now i'm scared lol )

If i do create an alt in another game it's usually just one and on a different server / shard. Just in case my main server is offline. (did that for SWG)

I've never been able to do more than 2 games. Even then, WoW gets pretty neglected compared to Lineage 2.

Right now ... 1 game, multiple alts (ok LOTS of alts) ... will soon be 2 games, no alts. Lineage2 is a beast on time.

This week, I've bottomed out playing WoW and DAoC, 2-3 chars in each and it hasn't been too bad. I haven't been playing any AO nor GW - since there's no subscription for those, I don't feel too bad. Still wish there were more gaming hours in the day so I could play all of 'em

Well, you know you can gain more gaming hours by taking away sleeping hours, working hours, and eating hours. Just like in a game, you just have to re-spec things.
