Default Mmorpg with some older players

Hi
I'm old 60...game addict though.. whats a good mmorpg with some older players.? .. got burn't out on WOW....It doesn't have to be a large game as long as it's fun and involving.

my guess would be none... most gamers are kids! which is why we're all here! you can pretty much fall into your own sub-world of TOGers in any game we're playing (from my limited experience). at least until they have an MMO for Gone With The Wind or The Wizard Of Oz

Horizons is the only game I've played that has a relatively mature player base. (That's only because there was a mass exodus a while back during server consolidation, and most of the kids jumped. What's left is quite proud of being an older player base).

But, um, you wanted a good game.... Horizons is involving, but I would hesitate too call it good.

Good luck with your search!

As a TOG member you can check out the TOG MMORPG divisions section of the forum to see what MMORPGs mostly occupy TOGgers. Also check this forum and the sub-forum for some future games and current games with a perhaps smaller TOG crowd.

In pretty much every MMORPG I have tried there has been lots of kids and some obnoxious players, more so in the past two years perhaps than before.

But there has also usually been a sizeable portion of more mature players, just need to find them. So I good start is simply to pick a game with an established TOG presence. This might vary a bit depending on which part of the world you are in though.

It's tough to say right now as most everyone I know is waiting for the new crop of MMO's to hit this Fall/next Spring.

The Lineage2 crowd is mostly waiting for the next game and passing time until it lets out. Some are trying out ArchLord, but like any new PvP MMO it will have a substantial number of less mature players at the start. It DOES, however, have some heavy penalties for being too much of a jerk (not that that stops some people). However, I'm guessing it won't capture peeps like L2 or WoW did.

Mostly what I'm hearing and seeing is people marking time and hoping that Gods&Heroes, POTBS (in beta), LOTR (in alpha), ArchLord (in beta), Conan or the ever anticipated Huxley will sweep them off their feet. Alot of it depends on whether you're a PvP fan or not.

If you're in the California timezone, I'd recommend City of Heroes/Villains (if you like the superhero/supervillain gig). Those guys are really nice.

Well there isn't much out there ATM, i would suggest DDO (Dungeons and Dragons) but only as a game to hold you over until one of the new MMO's comes out. DDO has a TOG guild with great ppl but the game itself is lacking in content (my opinion) but it my be enough to keep you busy until one of the other games come out.
There are a few coming out, Vanguard is the one i'm most looking forward too but there is also LotR which has great potential, plus a few others that have been mentioned already.
