Default Minions of Mirth (dumb name but cool game)

This game has been totally overlooked, but yet was highly rated by players at mmorpg.com. I wondered what that was about so I went to their website. Turns out this game is quite advanced as far as game play, and has features that I wish AAA titles had. But first let me get this out of the way... the graphics are fully 3d but look a bit old school. But what I have really been looking for is game play, not flashy graphics. MoM has so many features and they have a free client that will let you try it out as long as you want. The game has no monthly fee and only cost $30. But about the game... there are many races and classes, the free game lets you dual class and the paid gamed lets you have three classes. There are three realms you can play dark, light and monster. Skill advancement is use based and you also get points to distribute upon leveling. There is crafting, enchanting and poisoning. There is a single player game, a multiplayer and you can also run your own game server. There is even a window that lets you build complex macros for character actions. Here’s another cool thing... you can party all your toons at the same time. Only one is represented on the screen, but you can instantly switch between them and include abilities from all of them in your macros. The community is very friendly and if they can’t help an in game help and encyclopedia is available. I'm really glad I found this one. I think a lot of players would enjoy it. Home page here.

I actually loaded it and played it for a few minutes but just couldn't get into it. Have you been playing it long?

about a week and a half. The interface takes some getting used to. a veteran player took me under his wing and taught me how to do things. It made all the difference in the world. dbl clicking loots, mobs and things to move is the key to doing anything. I like how expierience is gained from actually doing things. Swing that big 2h maul and you get 2h xp. Recently I've been in a few partys that crawled the sewers and the teamwork was fantastic. After one such crawl I emerged to find a group of players playing monster toons assaulting the city and kiling all the npcs. One was a giant bugbear thing, another was a lycanthrope and another was some kind of litch. once you get over the initial interface hurdle the game offers alot of fun.

Default Interesting

Looks like it could be fun, and, more importantly, cheap. Looks like its a pretty small community there.

I might check it out.

I currently play:

Runescape

Conquer Online
http://www.conqueronline.com/

Dofas
http://www.dofus.com/

They all have their good and bad points but are just plain fun to play.
