I like the look, and its f2p, but:
Is it actually free, cant find any info on their homepage, but some other forums has pegged this as an game where you part with real cash to get anything else than the basic setup in the game (better ship and so on)

Can anyone confirm this?

yes they will sell add on items weapons, outfits, xp boosters... usually they are not game breaking items as people would soon stop playing.
