New MMORPG from BioWare
1up.com has published an interwiev with James Ohlen, creative director, BioWare Austin about the upcomming MMORPG from them.
The MMORPG is the coverstory on the december issue of Games for Windows http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3155486 Like the way they want to focus on story and avoid FedEx quest and grinding. It remains to be seen if they can manage that. |

Well they are using the HeroEngine which is being developed by Simutronics (might have that wrong) for their Hero's Journey MMORPG.
Its certainly getting rave reviews for the amount of customisation available to characters. It also uses instances for missons/story telling. Hopefully the use of existing technology will let them shave a few years of the game development cycle. So yes I am keen to see what Bioware do. |
