Default Let's talk Star Wars Sage RPG and/or WFRPG 3rd Ed. (FFG)

I'm going to be playing the Star Wars Saga RPG system down the road here (couple of months) with a small group and I've love to hear other gamers' thoughts about the system. I'm also in possession (after a keen trade on a different gaming site) of the new Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying Game from FFG (3rd ed.). I'd love to hear people's thoughts about that game too!

I have not played the Saga edition, but was a huge fan of the West End Game D6 version. There is a lot of stuff floating around the inter webs for the D6 game that is easily converted to the D20 Saga edition I am led to believe.

What era are you looking at playing in? Old Republic, Clone Wars, Rebellion, etc.?

This may be of some help to you. Star Wars RPG Ring

Awesome link, many thanks Pure Mongrel.

I'm not sure but I'm leaning towards Clone Wars at first...that way I can lead into the Rebellion era...eventually. I like the tension involved with the Clone Wars time-period.

Nice one. There is that whole unexplored birth of the Rebellion time to play with and expand on.

I just bought new RPG myself (chatting to you inspired me ) called Eclipse Phase. Only started reading it, but I am intrigued by the concept so far.

I will go in to more detail once I have read more, but the concept of Humans evolving through technology to become Trans-human (The ability to back up your mind and download it in to many different constructs, biological, mechanical or virtual) gives great scope for telling stories.

Especially against the back drop of a post apocalyptic Earth, space exploration, scattered trans-human settlements, Corporate control, First contacts and killer evolved AI species.

I am impressed so far as they are also exploring "what it means to be human" a part of the story line / setting.

Let you know more as I read more
