Apologies Zriza, I totally missed your reply. Pathfinder looks very cool and good to hear it is doing so well.

Has anyone played the Pathfinder card game?

That game seems to be all the rage on Boardgamegeek at the moment.

I did, decided to see what all the fuss was about. I've only had a very quick setup and play, but it seems like a lot of fun. Fairly simple in play (turn over a card, make a roll), but a few decisions to make. The hook is the continuation of your character across the entire story arc of the game, as new adventure packs become available. An adventure pack contains multiple scenarios, which define what locations are used, which is turn tell you what card types are put out (monsters, items, weapons, blessings etc). And after completing an adventure, you get to increase your stats or abilities.

I know absolutely nothing about the pen and paper Pathfinder game.

Played a proper round of Pathfinder (card game), and managed to get both my characters killed (on the introductory mission). I put more of a description in the other thread here on board games.

Thanks Bort, the character improvement mechanics intrigue me, I'll have to look closer at this game. So many good games so little time...
