Luckily I've found a great gaming group, who have exposed me to games I never would have found by myself.

And yesterday I was playing at a friends place, literally surrounded by shelves of games. An afternoon just wasnt long enough.

I've already bought Incan Gold, but I might replace the gems with some more shiny versions (like the Diamant style).

Blockade Runner looks interesting - not as easy to pick up and play as Diamant.

I'll just buy from elsewhere, even if it costs more. I'm not waiting 10 weeks for a game (unless there really is no other choice).

And I'd have to really be desperate now to order anything backordered from Milsims

Pickup and play games are what I like as well. You're lucky to have a good gaming group, keep it up and don't miss a session

Lots of my friends have strong opinions about Milsims, but I've never had a problem with them. The last game I order from overseas cost 95$: 45$ for the game and 40$ for the postage. That same same at Milsims is $75. I'm happy to wait 10 weeks to save $20, but it's a trade off of playing a new game in 7 days (ordering from overseas), or playing a new game in 70 days (ordering from Milsims)

What are your top 10 games?

I'm just impatient - 70 days!! If I knew what the waiting period would be - maybe, but when they dont seem to have any idea either when games are coming in.

Ok - my top ten (from 1-10):

7 Wonders
Dixit
Love Letter
Libertalia
Skull and Roses
Cyclades
Space Alert
Flash Point: Fire Rescue
Castle Panic
Citadels (yeah, I know - only 1 play and its in the top ten!)

I'd love to hear anyone elses top list

Wow some nice games there! I absolutely love Castle Panic. I've heard good things abut Cyclades and Space Alert. In fact they're good games and I'm going to pick up Love Letter, that one sounds cool.

My top ten list is (no particular order):

Castle Panic
Prophecy
Eastfront II
Defenders of the Realm
Ave Caesar
Cowboys: The way of the Gun
Last Night on Earth
Space Infantry
Memoir '44
Napoleon's War

Castle Panic is such a cool idea. Bit easy without the expansion - although you can still die.

The expansion is awesome (imo).

My mate has Last Night on Earth, but I havent managed to get a game of it yet.

I'll have to check a couple of those games out, havent heard of a couple.

I got the castle panic expansion but haven't played it yet.

I personally think Last Night on Earth is the best zombie game out there; easy enough to teach it to non-gamers, very thematic and best of all, you can combine it with Invasion of Outer Space (circus freaks and aliens) for the ultimate b-rate movie mashup!

Of the games we currently play, these ones get the most plays / requests :

Vampire Empire
Dixit 1,2 & 3
King of Tokyo
Small World
Jaipur
Pandemic
Get Bit
Bohnanza
Once Upon a Time
Summoner War
s (Over it a bit. Mage Wars is a much deeper 'mage' experience)

I'll leave off Dominion, the whole family enjoys it but we mainly play the online version (less shuffling)

Other games we enjoyed and want to play again :

Flashpoint
Forbidden Island
Zombie Dice
Hive
Mage Wars

Next Purchases will be :

Love Letter
Bang
Survive
Lords of Waterdeep

I love Pandemic and Forbidden Island, but just couldn't get into Small World. Great game, but just didn't click for me.

I had a very quick round or two of Pathfinder (the card game) last night. Didnt get to play much, spent more time just reading thru the rules, setting stuff up etc. But it seemed like fun. I've never played the pen and paper game, so I'm coming in without any idea of what it is.

Getting a lot of attention (good and bad) from bgg.

Re: Small World, I bought it after playing a friends copy. I like it, but I'm not as into it as I thought I might be. I like the mixing up of races and powers each game. Maybe its just because I'm really, really bad at it so far.

Woo: new games at work today!

Kemet - I've waited for months, and 3 suppliers to get this
String Railway
Dread Curse
Titanium Wars
