Apparently Planetside 1 veterans will be the first to get keys when the rollout comes. Make sure you are signed up to their website using the same login as you used for Planetside 1.

Saw Planetside 2 was coming out, and TOG is what I thought of.
Used to play with you guys way back in the day.

I see a few familiar names in this thread, haha.

And for the record, I am a horrible Vanguard driver. Always had too much fun to stop trying, though!

Granit was a terrific gunner though.

Fond memories of running 'round with Bayland, ColRipper, Karmajay, Granit, Father, Anz, Oldskool, Cailith, Asru, Rickety, Dockins, Ralakan... and too many others to mention.

Galaxy drops and Vanguard storms. So fun.
Definitely gonna check out the beta. And if I end up playing, it'll still be NC.
And I'll still be a Vanguard driver / Engineer / MAX Specialist.
Cuz change sucks.

Weird how I simply can't imagine playing any other faction, for no good reason at all.
Just...does not compute.

Looks like the game has come a long way graphically.
Having said that, I'll have to make sure that my system can run Planetside 2.

I echo what C4 said. I have never used twitter and made an account just so I could follow PS2 as they are giving away lots of keys every day. Lets just say yours truly will be in the first round picks of the beta. Bit of advice...think of creative ways to get the Twitter teams attention. took me a few days...but I got their attention. and a priority access beta key!! I can happen people!! for the Geckos and the NC!!!

I think it is safe to say most of us old PS vets will be playing PS2 I imagine as big as TOG is now, and how big we all know this game is going to be, we will probably have multiple outfits, though I imagine most of us old schoolers will keep the same loyalties :P

Incidently, any one still subbed to PS1, players are trying to organize a reunion on the server on July 1st, they are trying to get as many old outfits on as possible. I will try being there to represent TOG, would be great to see some more old buddys there Planetside Universe has most of the details (LOTD has some info too if any of you lurk there).

I've never played Planetside before, but am looking to, after seeing the trailers for Planetside 2. Is the game only for PS2, Xbox style play, or is it also ok with PC? Thanks.

Its a PC game. Planetside 2 just abbreviates to PS2, which causes unfortunate confusion with Playstation 2...
