Beta in 3 days after Tech Testing the servers.
Several people will be picked with different machines for testing under the next 2 days.
Beta will then take place slowly according to Higby and John Smedley.

This was announced under the livestream that took place today about 1 hour ago.

Who knows if it will actually be anything decent/small test/whatever. I will actually only really care when I am playing it. Until then it is no different then now

From things I know, it is possible that the beta may be starting within the next couple days but WILL be starting within the next couple of weeks.

There is a Planetside 2 event in which they're going to be shaving people's heads in preparation for the beta, which is taking place in San Diego tomorrow.

There's supposed to be a closed, press-only beta and after that the main closed beta should start
