Hope they don't. It will break up the population and is an unwelcome idea because of that. PS is all about population and less face it Aus is the ass end of the population world. PS2 plays awesome on US servers from AU...

I'll tolerate latency in an MMO, but in a FPS? No thanks.

Besides, it was a tweet from Smedley suggesting they would "just go ahead with it", which gives us a chance to test if Aus (or Aus/SEA) can support a server.

Though I expect they'll do the normal thing, approach Telstra, and balk at the degree to which they charge, and forget about it.

BTW this is the end of this line of conversation with me. Due to the NDA I can't talk about anything even the good but anyone with a little sense could combine the this and my last post and get the general gist of things.

I kinda wonder about this.

On one hand lag will drive me away from a game just like it did from PS1.
On the other hand, low populations will too.

I just hope an aussie server can maintain a decent pop....even if we only have 1 continent Id be happy. Its not like we are online to play with the majority Northern Americans anyway (except weekends)
