Arcade: Pac Man and Galaga
Console: Like about ten frillion other people here: Asteroid, Pong, Tanks, etc. on the Atari, the system so ancient John Titor may come back for it some day (ten points for anyone who gets that reference )
Computer: I might have missed it, as I skimmed through the thread to catch up, but I may be the first to mention this: Zork
First graphics-based RPG: Curse of the Azure Bonds (still play it)
First FPS: Marathon (which would explain why I love Halo so much)
First RTS: Civ II
First MMO: Everquest, right after Kunark came out

I have this recollection of the local cafe having a breakout arcade machine with strips of colored transparent plastic stuck on it to pretend that the white bricks were in fact red/green/blue ...

Then Pong at home, until the Commodore PET (there were a couple at a science museum in Paris and I recall swapping tapes that had "games" on them with other kids), then a VC20, C64, PC (didn'd do amiga or atari 512/1024).

First online game was Action Quake 2 in 98, huge fun on 56K modem (EISA was the ISP, for Melbournites).

Arcade-wise, got nicely hooked on Galaga and Pengo, but pinballs were/are always a favorite. And now with all the pinbal emulators around, I can relive my mispent youth

Pong was it for me at home.

First computer game was MTREK on a teletype hooked to a mainframe Unix box at school. Great game and you learned to do trig in your head.

First MMO... Mechwarrior on GENie. Damn expensive to play as they charged you for connect time. $300 per month was not uncommon.

My first game played was Haunted House on the Radio Shack TRS-80 model 1 mark 1 circa 1980 and i played numerous titles after that but the first game i played that got me addicted to pc gaming in general was Bloodwych ( a old style RPG game on the amiga)...and when doom came out that was the final nail in the coffin for my old 286-16mhz lol...went and upgraded

Cool

Pong or River Raid seem so old now that they must've been my first Atari games. Before that though, I remember my PC Jr, had cartridge games, there was a game called War or something, some space shooter. I remember the old VGA version of 'Boxing' too on my old pcs
