Default First game played ???

Well I guess I will kick off this new forum with an obvious question ... what was the first ever electronic game you have played .... either being computer based or be it console ... or maybe something 'older' may I dare say ???

I remember the first 'electronic' game I played was 'pong' and it was a little blue box that connected to the TV with two paddles and the only game was 1 v 1 paddle, 2 v 2 or the single paddle against the end ...

Let us all know what started you down the gaming path

Console wise yes it was Pong also with paddles, on a computer it was Graveyard, a text adventure on the Vic20. I have been hooked on gaming ever since. I even wrote some text adventures in BASIC back on the C64, my best was probably The RadioActive Mud Planet Thargoid, based on the Kenny Everett show, it even had little ASCII graphics lol

W00t! my suggested forum lives!

I suppose my first gaming experience was either pong and the like on atari 2600 or space invaders on the c64, I can't remember which came first for me tho. Followed by Karateka on the Amiga and Space quest 1 on PC.
First game I played against other humans was Doom iirc.
Then online it fell to the original UT

First games I played at home were The Hobbit, a text based adventure and Jetpac. Both on a Spectrum 48k. Before that it was Tanks at the pub!

First games for me were the general Arcade types for a long time, and first "computer" was a Tandy system using tapes! I guess that's where it all started. Picked up an Atari 2600 a few years after they were new, but it was well after Pong. Hero was the main one I remember.

First PC games were of the Commander Keen era, and yep, kicked arse! They just kept getting better and better!

First multi-player game ever was Duke Nukem! Ahhh, now there's a game that will live forever (hehe)! Played it just about every night on the Uni computers. Six people!! Ahhh, holograms, trip wires, jetpacks! That was the most fun I've ever had online. Sure the games are better, but that, was painful to play, from the laughter!!
