I recently dusted off Command & Conquer Windows 95 Edition but to run it on xp it has to be patched and that in turn took away the multiplayer as the ipx code in the game isn't compatible with xp. Something like that.

Might do well to buy a copy of C&C The First 10 years
Its been all fully optimized for xp (best they can anyways) and has c&c ra ra2 tiberian sun and all their corresponding expansions.

So yeah if you really want to thats the way to go I think.

I'd be up for a Doom or Doom 2 game over Hamachi. Best. Games. Ever.

DN3D was good, but Shadow Warrior was better. Sticky Bombs, Nuclear Warheads for your rocket launcher, bad one-liners. It was tops!

I also had hours of great (I should be studying) fun with Quake 2 CTF on the Powerup server. Freakin' ace!

Ahh Doom and Quake, that brings back memories. I think I have Heretic around somewhere.

I got in a lot of trouble with Doom in school, found a way to hide it on the network so that the teachers couldn't find it.
