Heh, I had one of those joysticks too - they weren't as durable as quickshot 2 tho. (Was the joystick in your picture quickshot 4?)

ok guys i fixed that problem.. i made my own!LOL base was a thick black plastic box re-enforced with steel had the 4 micro switches in place and a arcade ball handle on it.. i made 2 of them and they never wore out! best bloody joysticks i ever had! wish i had a pick of them somewhere they were awesome!

OMG. You just made me remember the TAC-2 joystick. Best joystick I ever owned for the C64.

Did anyone play the Arcade original Hyper Sports, the quicker you hit the button the faster you ran. An old trick used in the Arcades, you get a disposable cigarette lighter in your hand and rub it back and forth over the button, Viola max speed.
Many a cabinet was damaged with scratches due to this, and I still see evidence of it many years later with machines up for auction.

See I had (and still do have) a Competition Pro. Was about the only one that was all steel construction. I have replaced the micro switches twice in the past twenty years and thats about all.
