I can remeber in about 1984 I had just finished my apprenticeship and there was alot of industrial action at the time, as apprentices when the Tradesman had 4 hour work stoppages we as apprentices had to keep working. Now we were Tradesmen we would all gather round at my place purchase a great wack of Beer and play Leaderboard Golf, the intention was to always return to work after the 4 hour stoppage, but we rarely went back.
A great lunch turned into a long afternoon, funny nobody was disciplined at all for not returning to work.

Funny everyone used to say " Have a look at the graphics, no way are they going to get better than that, It looks so real" LMAO I seen a picture in one of my old magazines recently and our mental image and the true image are poles apart.

One of my mates had worked out all the Hitting distances with various clubs down to the meter that he was capable of, and his various putting angles, and used to bring along this Tatty old Note Book with him. We would say have ya shot, whilst he would sit there analyzing this note pad. By memory 18 hioles in game used to take us as long as a real 18 on the course.

I remember most of the fun was watching it draw out the screen in front of your eyes lol
