Default Retro Nintendo....

So we got a Wii last week. Been playing up the games we got with it. I had a few beers and decided to see what the Wii shop online had.

Low and behold, its a retro players dream field. I was in heaven, browsing all the titles that I used to play back in the day. It didn't take me long to pop in and purchase 3000 Wii points. Picked up Super Mario 1 & Zanac from the normal Nintendo & Orciana of Time from the N64. I had never played the N64 Zelda game, still haven't, waiting till tomorrow to play it.

I used to be really, really good at super mario brothers and Zanac (its a scrolling flight space shooter thingee). Low & behold, I suck now that I am old and haven't played either since approx 1988-89. Now that I am older, I wonder where all that old gaming skill went.

I love the Wii, for games new & old.

They have great selection in the store. The cool thing is they add some every Monday. I am going to get a classic controller so I can catch up so of the old games that I enjoyed as a kid.
Imagine Duck Hunt on a Wii remote...no wires to get in your way!!!

Ahhh, but you don't need to spend so much money on a VC controller. Just go find a used GameCube controller, does the same thing for less money.

I dont remember seeing it last time I scrolled through.

What I hate is the complete lack of role playing games they offer.

Well, Zelda is there if you want it. Still...

I am wondering where all the popular RPG's and other games are.

Monster Party FTW! special suprise gory ending included.

Bionic Commando too if you want, it lets you shoot Adolf Hitler in the head with a bazooka in the ending.
