Hello.
I have been working on build an arcade cabinet the last couple months. I just started construction last week and its going fairly well. I created a blog for tracking my project if your interested. Mostly just my plans and blueprints but I will be updating this weekend with construction pics.

Nice looking project dude!

Don't get dedicated 4 way controls. Just use the 8 way. Most of the controlers have a plate at the bottom of them, that can make them 8,4 and 2 way.
FYI: You can get joysticks with buttons on the top of the stick. This is great for defender type games. You can get the from LAI Leasure and Allied Industries, they make joysticks in OZ.

Also space your buttons out a little more (they look a little to close), use your hand as a guide. As you will be the one playing it.

I'm sort of working on building a table top with a flat screen, as my first one was a little too big.

Didn't you ever play Centiped or Missile Command or Marble Madness with a trackball

Nice project.

I agree with Fully.

I have 2 joysticks and four buttons for each either side of a track ball. All well spaced. Another two buttons on the far left.

This set up is right for all the games I want to play.
Track ball never gets used.Would have been nice to have 6 buttons for Mortal kombat .

I never played many four player games.

Hangtime would be good with four players
