I actually built a control panel for my MAME cabinet, and it has an original Nintendo joystick on it. I may test that new one on it, but it probably won't look very good on the arcade monitor.
About the comment that the old games don't hold up to the new ones...I disagree completely! I still regularly play Donkey Kong and a few others after almost 30 years. I can't think of any games released in the last 10 years that I would still want to play in 20 or 30 years. Games today are good for the time when they are released, but I don't think they have much staying power. the only PC game I can think of that I want to play again is Diablo, and I don't really want to play the old ones again, I just want the new one to finally come out.
I really enjoy new games, and I have a gaming laptop, a 360, and a Wii to play them on. Some of them are great, but most are ultimately forgettable. Which isn't really a bad thing since I am too old to have much of an attention span these days.
