My Homebuilt Arcade Machine

We most of you (mainly from the console section) know that I haven’t been online much lately and there has been a good reason. The reason being is that I have always want to build my own arcade machine, which I am wrapped to say I have.
It has been a really big project but I am really happy with how it has turned out. Atm the arcade can play alot of different games on alot of different platforms. Here is a list of what I have running atm.


- Roughly about 4000 arcade games
- Every Nintendo game
- Every Super Nintendo game
- Every Nintendo 64 game
- Every Sega Genesis game
- 50 Dreamcast games
- 100 future pinball tables
- 20 playstation games
- 10 PC games (love SF4)
- Every NeoGeo games
- 20 Nintendo Watch games (the old donkey kong game still rocks)


I also have alot of the Atari, Ds, PS2 and Wii games but I haven’t set them up yet.


The arcade has 2x 8way joysticks, 1x 4 way joystick (for games like pacman), 6x buttons for each player, 1 track ball (use for the mouse and games like golf /bowling), 2x coin buttons 2x player starts, Flipper and tilt buttons for pinball at the sides of the control panel.

I can also hook up a switch to the control panel and use it for my PS3 (also can be hooked to a xbox 360)

It has been a huge learning process but I have really enjoyed it. If anyone is thinking of jumping in and having a go at making one, let me know and I will help as much as I can. I have found alot of places for parts and alot of good people that are willing to help.

Outstanding work mate. If you don't mind me asking, how much did that set you back?

Also ... if you have Killer Instinct and Gauntlet ... I'm coming over! (Or more to the point I will also need to build one!)

Wait I just re-read and you said every N64 game ... "Killer Instinct Gold!"

I already had the Computer/Speakers/LCD/Keyboard. So that leaves Controls/Brackets/IPAC/Artwork Prints/Paint/Arcade Shell/Wiring/Software/T-molding and Perspex which would roughly work out to $800-$1000.
That price is a rough guess but it all depends on what you want and what brands you buy.

Maximus Arcade but I been checking out Hyperspin and GameEx aswell
