same! Always have a game sitting there in the background. BTW, the GOG version had the patch properly applied, so all the fixes are there. The Fame setting now works, as does diplomacy, and all sorts of other little things I never even knew were broken. The game is much smoother. It makes impossible difficulty slightly more playable overall, which to my mind is worth the spend. And i could never get the sound working myself in dosbox

I'd still like a function to disable the spell of mastery though, but after the patch the opposing wizards don't practically start with it on impossible.

wow that's a nice image. I've played 87 of them, and still own quite a few boxed copies! GoG is a saviour though, now I can own and play all the games I wanted to but never did play back in the day!

ah the memories, I still have 2x Amiga 500 and a commodore 64, used to have a Atari 520ST and an old MSX, I remember the first game I ever played on PC was the DOS classic Commander Keen and so on.

When I got internet at home I used to visit abandonware sites and such mostly Home of the Underdogs and Abandonia, who I still visit even today.
back in the days me and Akotha started an abandonware site called Games Cemetery, however we only had it running for I think 6 or 8 months, we lost our supporter and we had to much other stuff taking up our time and had to abandon it.

ah so much nostalgia coming back to me

Oh man... those bring back some awesome memories.

Didn't play about 15 of them, not really gonna bother listing them, but my favorite genre out of all of them is definitely the point and clicks. Indiana Jones, Sam and max hit the road, Full Throttle.... ah man.... those were good times...
