PC gaming and influence on social media

Hi troops

Here's an article I wrote for a website: just a fond reflection on PC gaming and some of its unexpected influences.

Thx for posting that. The sentiment is great, and I never looked at it that way. I do think forums played a big part too, and the social media revolution was a step up from that. Social Media is stilted besides - it allows you to people-watch but it doesn't really allow you to make friends, where games and forums do. I'd count people I know only from these forums as friends, no matter what non-geeks might say.

And if you're publishing any of that... enervate is not a synonym for energise ;)

Buttersoft - thanks for the response. And for the correction on the word enervate

Cheers.

Nice read. There is the undertone of PC's dying and consoles taking over. I don't think that is the case. I see PC's continuing to drive forward and the communities online gaming engenders continuing to flourish.

I like the fact that the only comment is by yourself highlighting the error picked up by buttersoft.
