Default Civ4

Anyone play this much? I've been debating seeing if there was a time a few people could get together for a game. Currently, I just have the Warlords expansion, didn't get the newest expansion yet.

I have Beyond the Sword and it is definitely better. I have about 3 PBEM games going with some guys at work. I used to play it all the time but then time gets away from me. Definitely one of the most addicting game franchises there are that I have played.

Yep there's a bunch of closet CivIV players in TOG... How to contact them all? Hmmmm..... I'd have to give that one some thought.

Yeah quite a few toggers enjoy Civ 4.

I have found myself playing it a bit lately on occasion.

There's actually a new version of it out at the moment. There's one that's got both expansion packs (very good!) and there's also the Complete Civilization Pack that has every Civ game in it... Hefty!

I still can't tear myself away from this game! Been two years now, and although I take breaks, I always find myself coming back. Such a great game! BtS is simply the best expansion ever... and I LOVED Warlords!

Usually have 3 of us at home with a LAN and stick in a few AIs for fun, havent quite mastered playing on the harder levels and not losing gold?try using different governments and combinations of civics,religions....but its always a way to 'lose 4 or 5 hours'

How about we start a PBEM game amongst us. We could either have teams or play solo. I think teams would be fun.

Strongly recommend using this forum here for all organising. There are quite a few other threads on the same topic (PBEM) in there, and as an added bonus, it's private!

Personally, I think the thing that kills the PBEM idea is all the patching. I'm on the latest patch, with both expansion packs, but I know many others are still using the original version, as many of their ongoing games will be stuffed by updating. Kind of makes it hard, although it's easy enough to uninstall, and start fresh. Personally, I really like the advances made in the patching and packs... kinda gets a bit complicated.
