SWG is calling you!
 

As Captain of the SWG division I thought I'd ask anyone interested what your general experience with MMORPG's are.

I'm assuming most of you havn't really played them before but I think there are a few veterans and so I'd like to get an indication of what kind of content our pages should contain.

I'm planning on a general definition of what MMORPG means along with a few 'terms' used in these games as well as a 'links' section.

Experience:

Asheron' Call (1 year)
Anarchy Onlne (1 year and beta)
Neocron (beta)
Asheron's Call 2 (3 months and beta) currently playing.

I havnt had any experience cause most of them are pay to play and I cant really afford it. Will that be the case with SWG?

Yep, pay to play. Hmmm, looks like I'm going to have a really small divission ....

This sort of game rarely draws a "mob" mentality.

If you can string together 2 or 3 other guys to play on-line at the same time, you can really have some fun on-line.

Imagine being in a group of 3 stormtroopers roaming the galaxy looking for rebel scum and then beating the crap out of them 3 on 1. :D

Of course, when you get well known for these antics, you'll have the galaxies best bounty hunters waiting for you to log on, not to mention every rebel in the sector. :cry:

Agreed. These games are a heap of fun if you can play with a regular group. Even just one other person can make a big difference.

You canot play Storm Troopers but you will be able to command them (essentially they are treated as pets :) )

I'm waiting for Arianne to come out of Alpha stages... (Alpha0.2 ATM)
