Default Looking for a good co-op game (part two)

Last year I posted a thread asking for recommendations in finding a good co-op game. Having once exhausted these options, I'll ask again. Anyone know of a good co-op game?

Already played through Diablo 2 multiple times

I found a list here: Speedwaystar's PC Coop Game List. Is this the sort of suggestions you are looking for? I prefer the Diablo series and Wolf ET stopwatch mode.

A couple of new ones that I have played co-op. Sacred 2, Red Alert 3 (the best co-op campaign implimentation I have seen in a RTS, pity the Games for Microsoft system is a bit painful to get the person invited into the game. What is wrong with a straight LAN option?), Call of Duty 5 - World at War (FPS, play the full campaign co-op). and Left 4 Dead.

Thanks for the link Fate, I might try a few of those games, but it looks like they stopped updating in 2004.

BlackIce. First of all, HI! Second of all, how far did you get in Sacred 2? We just bought it and haven't really made it past lvl 3 for boredom. Does it get better/more interesting?

Can play Civ4 in Co-op mode too... I've been getting into it a bit that way, and it's pretty cool. Turn based, so there's no hurry, and there are several options on how to go about multi-play - co-op being just one of them. Very very good game.

Most of the games there can be played as co-op.

I quite enjoyed Army of Two on the Xbox 360... if you have one :P The game was designed around coop. Gears of War on PC or 360 is another good one.

Lord of the Rings Conquest you can play coop, however the game is questionable :P Saints Row 2 apparently has decent coop as well but I haven't played it yet.

You could also go old school and run through Doom or Quake 1 & 2. Grab the mods for Doom that let you use WSAD & mouse and you will find its actually quite a challenge (especially Doom II). Kids have it easy these days!

Sacred is a good cheap alternative, which is a half decent Diablo clone.

edit: I just realised you probably were after a strategy/RPG game :P

Supposedly the new Dawn of War II is a co-op game, however, I just downloaded it via Direct 2 drive and I'm now very sorry that I did. Runs terrible on a good system, loves to lock up and/or crash, and requires BOTH Steam and Windows Live (which naturally is not noted on the D2D site). In addition, if you go to the relic forums asking for help they will tell you to read the manual, which is not included with the download.
However, if you have a couple of spare Cray supercomputers lying about and are the kind that prefers troubleshooting to actually playing it might be a good option.

Default Left 4 Dead

This is an FPS co-op game. Great fun and totally addictive. This is my first FPS in many years and I will recommend it heartily. Read about it at their site to see if it's your cup of tea.

Left 4 Dead is a great coop game (FPS), and it doesn't really get old. It's not much good with pubbers, but with the large tog group that rarely happens.

DOW2 is coop, and it's a great game. Just don't buy it on Direct2Drive.. best just to grab straight from Steam, since it needs steam authentication anyway. Make sure you have enough of a download limit to get it though (4gb from memory)
