Just finished Mass Effects 2, so what do I play next? I have the Witcher and Oblivion both of which I have played half way through……… or do I buy Dragon Age?

I played Oblivion for 12 months straight - if I hadn't burned myself out with it, I'd still be playing it now. It's a BRILLIANT game, and with the use of some of the great mods - it is even better. I'm aching for the next release... Likely still years away

Personally - I tried both The Witcher, and Dragon Age - and couldn't get into either of them. It may be the third person thing - whereas Oblivion is first person - but I think it's just the mechanics of the games. I'm sure you'll enjoy your decision one way or the other

I think its the opposite for me. I can't get into any FPS-view RPG at all. I think I like the strategy of the battles and seeing where everyone is.

Dragon Age might be a good choice for the OP as it is constantly releasing more content.

One other thing is that being a fan (presumably) of Mass Effect, moving to Dragon Age will be a natural progression as they appear (to me) to be based off the same engine and skill tree style.

Oblivion for me, was the first RPG I'd ever played. And coming from years of playing first-person shooters, it was easy and direct to get into. As for content - Oblivion isn't getting any further support from Bethesda that I'm aware of, but the modding community is rampant. What they've managed to do is simply incredible. I've played through the game several times now, and with different mods, it really makes it a new(ish) game. Loved it

I'm giving Oblivion another go. I might try Dragon Age when I finish it. I generally only play games the once.

Play Mass Effect with a different class then import and play ME2 again. I've played through both now as atleast 2-3 different types.

I dont think I have ever played a game twice including differnt classes. Once I know the basic plot the game is done for me. I just cant get into it again. I think I may have ADD

I go through a lot of games.

/Fanboi alert!

As mentioned, Oblivion was my first introduction to RPG's - once finished, I started looking at what the mod comminty had to offer, and I was amazed at the results. While they aren't total conversions making an entirely new game - they change so much, so well, that they play with a completely new feel. There's even graphic enhancement mods to give better looking everythings

Start with the OOOmod - easy to install, easy to get into.
