It does look amazing and a great new part for the Elder Scrolls.

Seems Bethesda is doing for RPG's what Crytek did for FPS...eyeball-melting graphical detail.

Yet, these videos still give me the impression that Skyrim is being optimized for console play. Much how Oblivion felt, to me, with the in-game menus and such.

And for that, I'll pass...for now.

I agree. And for this reason, I think I will be picking it up on PS3 instead of PC.

I can always get it later on PC when it comes down in price and take advantage of all the great mods.

This is the only game I am looking forward to this year. Of the other big releases BF and COD will just be more of the same. I'll play them but they will just be polished versions of earlier stuff, This OTOH looks fantastic with many new options including economic. So many changes that make it more like MMOs make me hope - Elder Scrolls Online? Now that I would play :]
