The true sequels for me are:
* X-COM: Terror from the Deep
* X-COM: Apocalypse

But I preferred the original, I liked the Space element more than the under water element and I didnt really like the graphics in Apocalypse...

Looks like the Steam pre-order is just around the corner with the promo TF2 items being added to the game:

I'm super excited but very apprehensive, I find it hard to pick up remakes/new games where I was very invested when I was young.

Terror From the Deep and UFO Defence were some of my favourite PC games when I was in grade school, (Later Interceptor) but I was saddened by the others.

Played countless hours on Apocalypse.

I'm not sold on this one. Think it may have gone a little arcade like for me.
No doubt I will buy it anyhow and give it ago.
I loved the old series, so simple in every way. But just fantastic.

I have been playing the lattest Jagged Alliance atm. Awesome turn based game.
They have really done this well.

Interesting - I have been quite disappointed with "Jagged Alliance: Back in Action". I find the AI is simply too accurate - regular hits from militia using a snub nosed revolver at 50 metres? Be serious!
I don't remember the previous incarnations being so unforgiving or unrealistic.

Yeah I can understand your comment Reaper.
Last night I was hitting a AI with a 50 cal at maximum range.
The AI turned around and was burnt firing me and making hits.

I do find the game pretty good though. I guess I just loved the first installment so honestly this installment could do no wrong.

I do like the fact you can plan your moves and then let it play out in real time.

Without save and load, the game would be near on impossible though.

The real thing that annoys me is the no repair of armour, now that really pisses me off.
