I liked the character animations of the second, hated the reused maps all over the place. I liked the tree system of abilities, as well as tying certain other abilities to the stats, like trap disarming and lock picking tied to Cunning instead of a second set of abilities that you have to pick through. Kind of sucked with the loss of Coercion, though.
I did miss that Warrior lost their ability to be Bow or Dual weapon users. I also missed having 4 prestige trees. I did like the addition of Force Mage. It was awesome. I missed the Arcane Warrior prestige
. In DA:O I loved donning full plate and the one Arcane Warrior sword in the game. I never really cared for the Shapeshifter. Hated that the dedicated healer couldn't be offensive if you really wanted them to heal all the time.
I hated the loss of Bard and Ranger. However, I sort of forgave the loss of ranger with making the Dog a summon that didn't take a party slot.
I did love the storyline of Dragon Age 2, and I feel that DA2 was the reason they went that direction with SWTOR.
