Red face Original Mount & Blade or Warband?

Hi all... just curious, is there any point to playing the original Mount & Blade and THEN Warband, or are they essentially the same game (with improvements from Warband)?

Picked up all three of them :) I remember playing the original back when it was free and possibly in beta, and remember having a blast, so I'm keen to finally get around to trying the complete games...

Thanks medicated I actually managed to get a copy from Mind Games in Canberra when I was down there last week :) Haven't played a game yet but so far impressed with what it seems to offer.
