Default [BF1942] Question: why do big planes crash?

Question?

Why do big planes crash easier than small ones? Have no problems keeping small ones in the air but big ones tend to crash, simply can't keep them at a decent height. Btw i'm using a joystick to fly. Thx

'cause they're heavier?

Which game are you asking about, mate?

When you let us know, we can direct this thread to the appropriate game forum, and get some of the players to answer the question for you.

Well if you are crashing the bigger planes - did You go to the Cailith Academy for Bomb Flight Training and TKing?

Cause that would explain it more than anything else.

Moving this thread to the FPS Public forum (The Shooting Range) where it'll get a bit more attention.

Also changing the subject.

At the risk of stating the bleedin' obvious, here's a serious attempt at an answer. I think it's simply because they're heavier, therefore slower, and far less maneuverable. This means you have to use quite a different technique to fly them. Quite like the difference between driving a truck vs driving a sports car - on takeoff you will notice bombers have less acceleration. If you try to turn sharp corners they don't perform like a fighter and lose height rapidly the sharper the turn. In short, if you try to handle them like a fighter they crash. You can't dodge fighters that might be shooting you from behind, that's why the bombers have gunner positions. The handling difference is even more noticeable in the Forgotten Hope mod. Hope that answers your question.
