New DC Server
Apologies if this is in the wrong area BUT...
I like you am over the GA server hanging, lagging, not registering hits etc and I am sure you are to. So what to do about it? Well there is something  go here --> Contact Support - BigPond GameArena (you have to be registered?) Say your sick of the poor performance of the DC server and you want it relocated / upgraded / FIXED FFS!!! details (ah yes these are important) GameArena DCF - Mixed FF IP address is 144.140.155.106 (make sure you mix up the text dont copy/paste or it will look like spam) Raise awareness, get ppl talking and get them complaining too. May even pay to get all clan members (BF2 2142'ers) in on it to if they can be arsed. More complaints more chance we have. I have posted this on the following forums: BA dD FTA KrK sc TOG Also spoken to leaders of G3TSOME, TBI and raised awareness. need stormtroopers? limited questioning over years resulted in a this is normal or we thought this will work stock political gain with net result empty. never helps. to improve you have to be the machine not of the machine, study your enemy and lead him to his end.

GA don't care.......
We have had loads of interaction on the GA message board about adds/moves and changes to maps, players tking, servers not being responsive etc.

THEY DO CARE. NEW DC SERVER IS UP
 PSEUDO FTWJob id:113604 Job status:completed Date created:10/08/07 20:04:01 Description:Gameserver performance Details:server is 144.140.155.106 - DCF Mixed FF 1. Crashing at least once a day. 2. Lagging when near capacity and lagging BADLY on maps like Dust Bowl and Desert Sheild. 3. Hit boxes on targets not registering. This is making game play poor to say the least! There is nothin more annoying then experiencing the above by itself let alone all 3 every day on the SAME server for the SAME game consistently. I specifically signed to telstra for my DSL because you host the game. Check my usage fi you don't believe me. Sure I get a better ping but that does not help when the server performance is less than adequate. Please recify ASAP. Job amendments: Support Staff 10:34:57, 13/08/07 Hi, Thanks for the heads up about this, the server has picked up in popularity recently and the host it was running on was certainly struggling. I've just shifted the server onto a faster host which will improve performance. The crashes are another story, these do not appear to be caused by anything on our end but rather an issue with the mod. I'll keep an eye on it but I've been unable to recreate exactly what is happening leading up to a crash. Regards, Robert |
