Default [UT04] UT2Vote v5.7 released

for server admins

ProAsm's awesome mod UT2Vote has been updated today to v5.7
Changes from v5.6 are map and admin bug fixes, new tickrate and spectator options.

Full details can be found here
ProAsm's Game Utilities

I highly recommend this mod for any server!
The default UT2004 voting system is very limited.
For those wanting a simpler voting system try EZVote.

It takes a while to set this mod up but it's well worth the effort
My server will be updated in the next few days.

The support that ProAsm gives for his mods is excellent.
Any problems he does his best to help.
eg. he helped me with the TOG 1v1 config we used (mapcycle issue) - link -

It's great to see people still making stuff for older games

Both Arkon and I have tried this setup on our servers....yes it was good...but also buggy....and caused quite a few server hangups....so I'm a little sceptical Ned....but thats just me....I think it needs to be easier to install and configure....and it would be good if it allowed more configuration through the standard web admin rather than removing some of its functions....imo

anyway dont get me wrong....its still a good setup that requires a lot of tweaking...I would rather be playing than configuring and sorting server issues

But I wont put my head in the sand mate and will go read up on the updates and play with it on my test server...(after the Lan...hopefully it'll work this time )

you're right, it's quite a job to install and configure it
most of the bug complaints are actually incorrect configurations

this mod however has become easier to install and config over a few updates
the best improvement was v5.6, especially to the client using the mod

once configured how you want though it's great!
