HL2 "Quick Done" Series

Gamer's Hell reports a new movie from the Quick Done series which started with Quake years ago has been added in our download area. David 'marshmallow' Gibbons played Half-Life 2 from the beginning to the end in 2 hours, 57 minutes and 35 seconds. All demos are captured to AVI by David Rickard, appended into one file and compressed to one 320x240 version. More details can be found here. A tad under 3 hours, wheres the enjoyment in that. He should take his time and enjoy the scenery.

I remember the Quake done Quick movies. They are just awesome. For the guy to do these he must have actually played the game dozens of times. They are an excellent display of skill and well worth a look in my opinion. I didn't know he had a Doom2 and HL one so I'll have to check them out too

Yeah, I know of the 2 quake ones - so will check the other one out too!

Movie managed to spur me on into completing the final 2 sections of the game. Then I played some DM for the 1st time.

Anyone noticed some things that were previewed but were missing from the game? Like the glowing blue tentacles out of the floor (unless they did that in the HL remake), knocking over the docs computer and him saying be careful, the fish (although I'm kinda glad they didn't have them outside of the teleporter sequence).

What a waste of time. I was under the impression that games were for fun, you know stress relief type things.
Granted it is a damn good effort though. Now I only need to find 3 hrs to sit and watch it.
