Need Help With DC Final
Hi Guys I hope you can help me with my problem. I recently downloaded the Desert Combat Final mod. I installed it and then found that it would start to load the level then drop out to the desktop each time. This happens in both SP and MP. I previously ran the DC V0.7 mod and that ran fine. Is DC Final a fresh install or are you supposed to install it over DC V0.7?. I'm guessing that its the former as it installs to a different folder. The only other thing I could think of is that the download is corrupted but it seems to install okay. I've got BF1942 patched up to the latest one. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi mate
Sounds like a problem I had but I didnt have 0.7 installed, so if you where playing fine and just updated and then down loaded the lastest BF patch all should be fine. If done in that order. I'm currently downloading DC final again. I tried installing on another computer and had the same problem so I figure it's a bad download (file verification takes about 20 min). Do the bigpond sites allow file resumption? I only have an ISDN connection with a 4 hour limit which gives me a max file size of about 180mb without it. A lot of sites don't seem to allow file resumption nowadays which is a real bitch if you don't have a broadband connection. This means I usually have to use bittorrent or one of the other P2P methods for the larger files or wait for a PC mag to release it on disc.
