Default BF Heroes: Got TF2?

LOL, after copying the cartoonish look, they even copy Valve's argument about not producing more than a handful of maps because nobody plays all the maps ... but worse than TF2, they only give us 2 maps.

Yeah, absolutely. I mean, what we did is, we come to this from two angles. The first one is that in every Battlefield game, we bust our asses making 50 maps, and then within six months of the game being released, everyone's playing two maps. The two best maps. So, we just decided to make just the two best maps, and not the other kind of maps.
50 maps in each BF game? Must be that memory loss problem flaring up again ...

Interesting interview apart from that.

It wouldn't surprise me if they did make 50 maps per release. Of course, we don't see even half of them, but there are so many great mappers out there, they could very well have 50 people create one each. Given that BF:1942 have 21 maps on the board now... it's not unheard of.

And... always pretty hard to be justifiable with criticism of a free game!

Hmmm i worry about this game. First off 2 maps? Half the fun of playing something new is coping with a changing environment, finding the hiding spots, but with 2 maps? Well it'll end up getting boring real quick imo...

Second, i heard a rumour that although this game is free, it will have ingame ads etc but also use micro transactions, ie pay for ammo or upgrades etc. Any one else hear this? If it's true it will be dissappointing but i guess they need to pay their bills somehow...

Also is this gonna be 3rd person? Damn i hope not... i reckon 3rd person feels so clumsy, like Warhawk on the PS3, it just doesn't feel right...

Anyways, thats my thoughts, i really hope it does end up being great. If it is, being free it's sure to grab a huge following.
