Another HL2:DM Map from KG? YES!
Yep, I've got the mapping bug. After upgrading my old NBHQ map I decided to try for something totally opposite. What I've come up with is a 4 player map based on a small deserted island (except for lots of seagulls) in the middle of nowhere...
The few remaining things I'd like to sort out: 1. Try and make the "edge" of the water not visible 2. Make the seagulls fly off when a player approaches 3. Have a group of seagulls circling above the island Download and more info: http://www.mrated.com/photos/TheCave/ .jpg)

Hey KnobGoblin, you've done it again.
Looks great. I got trapped between the rocks and the tunnel I can't shoot the flying birdie I think it would be great if you could climb the hill... king of the hill

You CAN get to the top of the hill... in fact there's a bunch of rocks and a rocket launcher up there.
Go to the outcropping around the side where there is no cave. There's a path up to the top.The flying birdie can't be killed (yet)... and if you don't want to get caught in the rocks don't go abseiling! My wife's been hogging the computer of late so I haven't had much time to fix up the last few "issues". One thing I'm keen to get going is to have the birds fly away when you get close. I know they can do it because they do it in the single player game!

Sorry mate for not replying sooner. I played with it a little while ago but forgot to post.
 Yeah works well, will be total carnage with more than a few people on it.  Any chance of having the seagulls respawn? Had nothing else to kill after I got'em all, cept that moungrel in the air and it's wearing damn good body armour. Got stuck inbetween the rocks once, np just blew myself up. Yeah Way you can get the Rocket Launcher up on top of the hill, but only from one side, I think, can't remember. |
