How good was Half-life 2?

Pc Powerplay (great magazine in Aus) had a user poll. 6000+ people voted for the best games EVER. Half Life 2 was a clear winner.

yeah this game is in my top 5 all time from 26 years of gaming. 1 ofthe coolest storylines i have ever played. cant wait for ep 3 to see how it finishes.

yeah I hope Half-life 3 would be out soon. Lets just wait and play the HL 2 for now.
