Anybody playing this game - Joint Operations Typhoon Rising/ Escalation ?

I got it because I heard it was good, based on the Black Hawk Down series.

But the big turn off for me is that most players are just out for themselves with no concept of real team work. I'm wondering if that's the situation in general for online fps games.

I'm putting together a squad for adults who want a more advanced level of play. Take a look and see if you might be interested...

I've been playing Joint Ops for a while now (although WoW has pretty much taken over ATM) and quite enjoy it. I find the coop maps to be the best for teamwork, try to find maps that are being run by groups if you can as public servers tend to be free for alls at times.

I thought JO was pretty fun, I havent played since the expansion though. Big maps, lots of people. Everything was pretty fragile though, and you are right about the team work.

You want team work, play PlanetSide. You can be as team orientated as you want. There are outfits that are just like the military, complete with training, rules, etc.... Or you can just squad with you buddies.

Joint ops isnt even in the Delta Force Series its a stand alone game that was fabricated to compete with BF 1942. Alternately titled "The BF 1942 killer" it didnt catch on because the minimum system requirements were much different than what it stated on the box. I mean, they even said it would play on dial up smoothly. I used to write for a online gaming review company and I tried it out and did interviews with Novalogic programmers. I didnt find it to keep my attention. Not to mention the keyboard mapping left something to be desired. Currently they are working on Delta Force 6 and again I will purchase it since I have been a Novalogic fan since DF1.

So what are some other games people are playing so I can add them to my website? Only war style games please.

Have you looked at PlanetSide for a MMO FPS game involving galactic strategy down to squad tactics?

I have not played Joint Op. I have been playing Planetside though. It's pretty darn fun and you can do some damage when you work as a team. There sure are a LOT of cases of people playing solo there though.

Hope to join with TOG there to kick some arse...

Joint Ops can be kind of confusing and after buying BF Vietnam today. Novalogic will no be able to touch EA on that kind of MMOFPS. I am just at awe at BF Vietnam. I kept getting killed cause I would just look around.
