Yep Fox I played SWAT 3 heaps and I liked it a lot. Got a mate who has done the beta thing for 4 and reckons it looks pretty good. They reckon they have beefed up the multiplayer side of it a fair bit so that will be very interesting. Anyone who likes CQB should have a look at it. If it is as good or better than 3 then it will certainly be worth it.

The demo is already better than SWAT3. I'm going to pre-order!!

Read my review if you're a SWAT 3: Close Quarter Battles.

I'll be recruiting SWAT officers almost as soon as it's released for some co-up head 2 head action.

I've already given my wife 4 weeks notice (approx release date) that she can consider herself a single Mum once the game is out. 8O

Yeah, I just played the demo too, seemed pretty cool and a bit of a different concept from your usual FPS/stealth type game. Were the missions in 3 well thought out and did they provide a bit of variety Fox?

Missions were pretty cool in 3. There is a bit of sameness to it mainly because it is all inside (obviously I guess). There was a bit of everything hostage rescue, warrant service, terrorist incidents and combinations. The AI in the new version seems pretty good I played through the demo level a few times and the position of the bad guys was different everytime and they seemed to act differently, some would run some shoot some surrender and this also seemed to chage. 4 will be well worth the look anyway I think.

Brana - read my review on the AI. It's impressive.

PW - the missions had a lot of variety. Hospitals, domestic houses, nightclubs, hotels, shops, TV Studio (my favourite) and convention centre + more. Of course, they were all indoors and I'm guessing always will be. It is close quarter battle after all.

There were hostage rescues + bomb defuser type missions mainly. There could always be civies and taking them out was never good.

I have played the swat 4 demo. I love it. The suspects are was more aggressive and more free thinking than in Swat 3 (not that i did not like swat 3)

I have been hanging for this game for ages!!!
