SWAT 4 / The Stetchkov Syndicate / Sheriff's Special Forces mod

I did a search for SWAT 4 in the forum and found quite a few threads but none were appropriate to bump so I'll start this new one.

I was recommended this game for its coop play by TOG Fox who, like me, is a cooperative gameplay fan. I given it a bit of a test run and I like it very much. Very intense.


Being an older game it now sells for about $20. An expansion pack was released which sells for about the same price. There was also a Gold pack which includes them both which I paid $35 for last week.

I'm new to this game but I'll try to give a brief intro for those that don't know.

SWAT 4



Be part of a squad and use authentic weaponry and tactics in various SWAT scenarios.

In the singleplayer you lead. In multiplayer it's team based SWAT v suspects. In the multiplayer coop you can lead or be a part of a squad versus suspects.

-new SWAT equipment and weapons and the addition of a melee attack
-new objective types
-new multiplayer mode – Smash and Grab

Sheriff's Special Forces (SSF) Realism Mod for The Stetchkov Syndicate



-The Stetchkov Syndicate expansion pack is required to play this mod
-latest version from original authors v3.1
-singleplayer, multiplayers and coop additions and tweaks
-weapons and equipment additions and tweaks
-gameplay additions like door check with report commands and aggresive arrest have been added plus much more
-AI improvments

A patch was released for SWAT 4 (v1.1) and can be found at the Sierra Entertainment website - vugames.com.

Fox has been running the game from his place lately. Post here or contact us on xfire if you're interested in playing. Also, once my server is back online with it's own connection I'll be running test nights on all the various multiplayer modes. Again, post here or contact us if you're interested.

I never get bored watching that vid!


LOL moments were at the 20 and 1:05 marks with me punching the suspect in the back of the head after he taunted me and later when Fox twitched after hearing the sound of my taser only to shot and kill a subdued suspect

1:40, carcas throws a Sting Grenade then Fox get's the suspect with a Taser.. TEXTBOOK SWAT OWNAGE!

Heads up - I'm going to make sure my server is set up (not really a server) and see if I can get a 5 man team co-op style.

No excuse - $30 will get you a new pair ... of CD-keys. Roll your local druggo on your way to the computer store if you're short on change.

I got the one for the Stetchkov Syndicate expansion pack, but can't find it for the original game, will have to have alook through My CD cases and manuals again

I just installed SWAT, STETCHKOV and SSF so I'll be ready to battle the bad guys with you next session. I vote for one of my custom "madhouse" missions to be thrown into the mix (you know the one Fox).
