Yeah, there's nothing worse than enjoying a game and then watching the movie to find it looked like it was done by high school kids (and not the good ones...).

Nooooooooo!

28 weeks late was just terrible. 28 days later was good, but 28 weeks was b-grade trash. It had no pacing, shallow character development, a horribly weak plot and was way too predictable and clichéd.

I just can't see a director like that having the finesse to do Bioshock justice.

If there is any game i'd like to see on film its bioshock. The setting underwater is impressive in the game and i often stood there and just enjoyed the art. The story is good as well - starts with a plane crash so that'll look good, not to mention the big daddys thumping down the corridor and the mutant freaks and the issue of genetic manipulation and being super human.

Bioshock was one of the rare games that made me wish it came with about eight more discs. I didn't want to be done with it. I hope they can do it justice.

Hi Ned,

Thanks for the "BioShock Movie" update.

I wonder when the time will come instead of a video game adaption movie being shopped directly to Hollywood. If it was shopped elsewhere, be it in Bollywood (in India) or in a similar vein in Europe. Since anything done in Hollywood is very expensive to say the least. In foreign movie producing regions the talent is just as good and cheaper to produce.

I really can't wait to see how it pans out. One of the first things I thought of when I finished it for the first time was they gotta make a movie out of this! I've played the game a few times over on the 360 and think it has a concept and storeyline like no other game that I know of.

Bring on the movie!

We may not ever see this movie..

"I couldn't really get past anybody that would spend the money that it would take to do it and keep an R rating," he explained, "Alternately, I wasn't really interested in pursuing a PG-13 version. Because the R rating is inherent. Little Sisters and injections and the whole thing. I just wanted to really, really make it a movie where, four days later, you're still shivering and going, "Jesus Christ!"... It's a movie that has to be really, really scary, but you also have to create a whole underwater world, so the pricetag is high. We just didn't have any takers on an R-rated movie with that pricetag."
