Questions about Battlefield

I have seen that Battlefield is one of the games that TOG members play.I was wondering what the game is like.There also is a deal on at EB games (i think its EB)that is offering two games for $50 and Battlefield 2142 is one of these games on offer.
Just wanted to get TOG players views of this game....Thanks

The Battlefield series has quite a history and it's still in the making with more releases being worked on. They're FPSs where you fight as a team with the option to choose the various ingame classes that have their strengths and weeknesses. For example, if you want to be a medic you can heal yourself and others but your firepower is low. Vehicles also play a big part in the Battlefield series, not only for transport but in combat situations. The maps are large to accommodate this form of combat.

The series has seen games set in WWII, Vietnam, modern day and even the future.

One thing to also note are the mods for all for the games in the series. Many are fantasic with two of them winning Mod Of The Year. Last years winner was Project Reality Mod for BF2.

At one stage we also had a TOG Battlefield Vietnam Division but it's been archived. There are still a few that play the odd game though!

As a member of the TOG 2142 Division I say it's a good deal.

2142 will keep you playing for hours (or years), plus the 2142 Division runs it's own server so you know you can come and have fun in the company of the Toggers you love.
